Visas is one of the main party from Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. She was the unwilling apprentice of Darth Nihilus, the Lord of Hunger, who bound her to his service after consuming her homeworld and later sent her to investigate an 'echo' they perceived through the Force. That Echo proved to be the Jedi Exile, who spared her after winning their duel. Astonished by the Exile's benevolence, Visas remained and began to learn the ways of the Jedi, finding new meaning in life and in the galaxy.

When Nihilus destroyed Katarr, he showed Visas the Galaxy as it "truly" was, or rather, how it appeared to him as a being of pure hunger--a collection of disperate beings, crawling like ants over the surface of planets and through spacelanes, worthless and chaotic. Desiring death herself, she devoted herself to Nihilus' 'cause' of consuming life and leaving silence. Visas has not entirely shed this cynical and bleak worldview--though admiring the Exile's benevolence and determination to bring goodness and healing to the Galaxy, Visas was often still cynical and disdainful of others they met on their journey.

Visas is a Miraluka, who are humanoid save for their lack of eyes (they possess either vestigial eyes or empty, indented sockets). Her species are all Force-sensitive and "see" by using the Force. Her own Sight was damaged when Nihilus destroyed her homeworld.

• The Force: Visas is an adept Force user. She specializes in combat-oriented techniques, and several of her powers are ones used mainly by Sith.
• Combat: She can use lightsabers, but can also capably wield physical melee weapons (like swords) and is a competent shot with blasters.
• Computers: Oddly enough, Visas has an aptitude for computer work. Perhaps that was her occupation before the destruction of Katarr.
